PROJECT 01
"Movie Poster"
Design an A3 movie poster with components of figure drawings, natural elements, man-made objects, as well as different writing that begins the title and contains casting information for the actors, etc.
Task 01
Sketch two initial ideas of the movie posters in A5-sized.
I have put out two concepts: the first has more brilliant colour tones and leans more toward a family-friendly movie; the second has a darker mood tone and has a more spooky quality.
Task 02
Select the final idea and compose it into an A3-sized drawing with proper titles and etc.
I have chosen the second idea which was the horror theme because the elements compose was more interesting than the first one.
PROJECT 02
"Farnsworth House"
Based on the "Farnsworth House" building produce a series of construction drawings which is Orthographic Drawings, Axonometric Drawing and Perspective Drawings in A3-sized.
Task 01
Produce a scale 1:100 version of the Farnsworth House's floor plan, two elevations, and one section.
Based on the closest surface to the farthest, outline the drawings using various line weights.
Task 02
Produce a scale 1:100 version of the Farnsworth House's axonometric drawing.
Based on the closest surface to the farthest, outline the drawings using various line weights.
Task 03
Produce a scale 1:100 version of the Farnsworth House's perspective drawings: one-point perspective & two-points perspective.
Based on the closest surface to the farthest, outline the drawings using various line weights.
PROJECT 03
"Presentation Board& Model Making Process"
This project was integrated with AD1 final project.
Based on the final project of AD1 draw a minimum of 4 A1-sized presentation boards that includes orthographic drawings, exploded axonometric, architectural details, abstract architectural drawing, and tattoo stamps.
Task 01
On the four A1-sized presentation board, we must conclude four orthographic drawings which is
two elevations, one section, and two floor plans ( in scale 1:10) and one axonometric drawing (in scale 1:10 / 1:20).
Architectural abstract drawings was an perspective drawing of the user's sensual experience in the space.
Four tattoo stamps of 100mm x 100mm sized translating different spaces.
Task 02
Capture different elevations, perspective views, and zoom-in details of the model.
To show different materiality and space sensories. When the spaces were designed, different sensories were also included into it.
Tutorial Exercises
"Architectural Graphic Sketching & Tonal Values"
By using geometric expression, rendering techniques, architectural writing, and colouring media and scale, tutorial activities were designed to help students' technical manual drawing abilities. These exercises were carried out in the tutorial session.
Tuto 01
Students' abilities to create abstract works of art utilising geometry shapes and to add depth and value using shading techniques were tested through geometric expression. I input the principle of symmetry and drawing the cubic in perspective view which gives a sense of rhythmic pattern.
Tuto 02
Different hatching techniques were practiced in this exercise,
where there is hatching, cross-hatching, scribbling, and stippling. Students also need to determine where the light source is from and the shadows formed.
Tuto 03
The purpose of this activity is to familiarise students with the architectural letters that will be utilised in the upcoming architectural project.
Tuto 04
The purpose of tutorial four was to introduce students to various coloring mediums and scale technical drawings. I have chosen colouring pencil as my colouring media in this exercise.
Reflection
I have learned a lot this semester, and it has had a big impact on everything from my projects to the new friends I've made. I am able to learn new technical drawing methods thanks to this module. I want to express my gratitude to Mr. Adib, my tutor, for always being courteous and patient when giving us criticism. It was a really enjoyable module to do because it included a variety of practical sessions, including both indoor and outdoor exercises.
