PROJECT 01
"Assessing Daylight & Thermal Comfort"
Conduct research on a chosen modern building. Provide analysis and readings of the particular buildings with supported evidence and produce an A2-sized presentation board.
Task
Our group selected one of the group member's houses which fulfills the requirement of a corner-lot house. During data collection, lux readings and temperature indoor were recorded at different times of the day. Meanwhile, other group members collected data through internet research and provide orthographic drawings of the houses. We selected a few spaces which require improvement based on the analysis.
PROJECT 02
"Artificial Lighting Design Layout: Lumen Method"
Create an A2-sized analysis board outlining the lumen method used in a certain store. Adapt the improvements to the store's lighting.
Reflection
I gained a lot from this session on Architecture & Environment, especially about the passive building designs. It was a fascinating module to study because it involved about the idea of creating a building but attaining a rigorous level of energy efficiency while also creating comfortable indoor living spaces.
My tutor was Mr. Bruce, he was a fun and energetic tutor who provides us a relax environment to study in.
