"Famous Architect's Building: Materials Application"
Task
Determine the five architectural building materials and the two structural building materials used in an interesting building created by a single architect. Consider the reasoning and idea underlying the building's material choice. Composed the findings in two A3 papers in infographic manner.
PROJECT 02
"Construction Detailing of Building Elements"
Task
Create a set of construction drawings with the detailing of building components on the superstructure in a group of 6-7 people. Construction materials will either be reinforced concrete or timber for the students to work with. On separate A3-sized sheets of paper, drawings must be manually drawn. A scale model of the section also has to be prepared.
Reflection
Through this module, I was able to learn more about technical construction drawing detailing, which has helped me to better understand how buildings are created as well as the specifics of building components like windows, doors, and stairs. Additionally, communication skills are essential when it comes to managing a group of drawings that relate to one another.
